Basket Weaving

Learn to weave a different basket each month!

Bring the following supplies to each class: 

  • Several clothes pins (a dozen should do)
  • Small flat screwdriver
  • Sturdy sharp scissors
  • Small needle nose pliers
  • Measuring tape
  • Utility knife (box blade)
  • Pencil
  • Old towel
  • Plastic washing tub or canning stock pot (about sink size) to soak reed and basket

January – Marsha’s Tea Basket
Saturday, January 13, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

This is a beginner level basket weaving class for everyone aged 16 and up.  Learn the splint weaving method.

 

 

 

February – Small Berry Picking Basket
Saturday, February 17, 1:00 – 4:00 pm

Another beginner level basket weaving class for everyone aged 16 and up, this splint woven basket uses the start and stop method for every row.
Register online and mail a check or bring payment to the class.

March – Harvest Basket
Saturday, March 10, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm with 30 minute lunch break


This beginner level splint woven basket class, for ages 16 and up, uses the start and stop method for every row and incorporates a wooden D-Handle.

Note that this is a 6-hour class!
Register online and mail a check or bring payment to the class.

Class fee $50 plus materials fee $21
