Tapestry Weaving

Introduction to Tapestry

This is a very beginning introduction to tapestry weaving.

Tapestry weaving is weft faced weaving, so the warp is not visible. Students will learn what makes a tapestry loom, be exposed to various looms, learn how to warp and create a small tapestry.

There will be a discussion of how sett, size of the warp and size of the weft affect the outcome.  We will discuss how to finish and mount the weaving.
