Viking Knitting

“Viking Knitting” is one name for an ancient wirework technique that is based on an even more ancient fiber technique, nalbinding.

Learn this surprisingly easy method to make elegant bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry pieces.

Start with the basics, then learn double Viking knit and how to use two colors. Some basic jewelry making instruction will be included.

Take home a completed item and enough wire to finish a second project.

Class will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 10:00 am to noon.

Instructor: Sharon Barnes

Class fee $20, plus $6 for materials.  Register online and bring payment to the first class.

The location for all classes is the Fiber Arts Center of Wichita at 751 George Washington Boulevard.
